Antlion Worker
Attack: Acid Spit (5), Claw Attack (5), Explode when killed
Health: 50
Threat: High
The worker in the Antlion world. These guys are smaller versions of the the Ant Lion. Like their bigger brothers they have the ability to fly short distances.

Their primary attack comes from ranging distances were they will spit Acid at you. To make matters worse they move around very quickly and do not like to stay in the same spot for very long so get used to shooting at a moving target.

If you manage to get in close they will use their claws on you and then fly away to use their spit attack on you. Also do not get in their face trying to kill them they will explode shooting acid every where.

Grubs
Attack: None
Health: 1
Threat: None
Grubs are baby Antlions if you will, they are protected by the Antlion Worker in the nest and other Antlions that are present within the nest.

There is nothing to fear from the Grubs themselves and are not even worth a bullet as stepping on them will kill them.

However when you do kill them Antlions and Workers will smell them on you and come running. It is also impossible not to kill them in some spots. Be ready for the lions.

The Guardian
Attack: Charge hit (40), Shove (20)
Health: 800
Threat: Extremely High
If you thought the Ant Lion Guards were bad, it gets worse. The Guardians protect Ant Lion Larve found within the Ant Lion nest. You will not mistake this guys with Guards as their Green Glow will give them away.

Do not even attempt to kill The Guardians alone...Run. It will take a Vortigaunts, Alyx, and Freeman to bring one of these beasts down.

Hunters
Attack:
plasma fletchettes (10), Chargee (20), Claws (10), Kick (10)
Health: 400
Threat:  High
Hunters are by far your biggest threat in Episode 2. They are surprising heavily armoured meaning it is going to take a great deal of fire power from you to bring them down. In some cases a shot from the Rocket Launcher will not even kill them on the first shot. They have a wide rage of attacks that they will through at you to make your life more difficult.

The Hunters have a Wolf Pack mentality. They will attack you in threes, try to surround and then over whelm you, your best be is to find cover in a building and not get caught in open ground. Also note that Hunters can follow you into buildings and will follow you into buildings.

Their primary attack Fletchetts are shot at you and will stick or explode on impact. This makes picking cover rather difficult as they could shoot the wall behind you and you would be killed by splash damage. Once you are in the open they will charge at you then either kick you are use their claws on you. Either way do not try and go toe-to-toe with these guys.
